Election season is going to be kicking into high gear in June, and we are fortunate to have 4 candidates challenging long time Beacon Hill incumbents in our North Shore State Representative races.
I’d like to introduce you to each candidate – in this post, I’ll just give you a brief overview of each. I’ve reached out to each candidate asking for some more detailed information that I will share in subsequent posts.
ALLISON GUSTAVSON – AllisonGustavson.com
Allison Gustavson, from Manchester, is running to represent the 4th Essex. Allison is a mom, small business manager, teacher, and an advocate for civic engagement. She is running to offer a new kind of leadership that emphasizes:
- stewardship of the environment
- economic growth
- ’whole child’ education
- voter empowerment
- women’s rights
CHRISTINA ECKERT – EckertForRep.com
Christina Eckert, from Boxford, is running for State Rep in the 2nd Essex. Christina will work hard for the people of her district. She is a seasoned community organizer – and local organizations have thrived under her leadership: like Community Giving Tree, that tripled its outreach to children in need. She will get things done. She will fight for:
- school funding & safety
- civil rights for ALL citizens
- preserving & protecting the environment
- health care for all
TRAM NGUYEN – VoteTram.com
Tram Nguyen, from Andover, wants to be State Rep in 18th Essex. Tram is an immigrant, a legal aid attorney working to assist our most vulnerable communities. She is dynamic, engaging, thoughtful and responsive. She is committed to representing her district and strengthening the community. Tram supports:
- affordable healthcare
- affordable housing
- economic growth
- education funding
- women’s rights
